Account Executive

We are seeking an Account Executive to join our growing team. This role is ideal for a motivated communications professional who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and is looking to take on greater ownership across media strategy, client communications, and account execution.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, detail-oriented, and a strong writer with excellent interpersonal skills. Candidates should be comfortable managing multiple priorities simultaneously while contributing thoughtful ideas, maintaining strong media relationships, and supporting client growth initiatives.

This is a fully remote position with opportunities for long-term growth and advancement within the agency.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Account Executive will support and execute day-to-day public relations initiatives across a portfolio of clients. This role requires strong media relations skills, strategic thinking, excellent communication abilities, and the ability to independently manage projects from inception through completion.

The Account Executive will work closely with senior leadership and clients to execute media outreach campaigns, develop messaging materials, identify timely opportunities, support thought leadership initiatives, and contribute to overall account strategy.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Media Relations

  • Build and maintain targeted media lists that consistently surface the right reporters, podcast hosts, and conference organizers to drive meaningful coverage opportunities

  • Craft compelling pitches and press materials that cut through inbox noise and result in secured interviews, placements, and features across trade and national business media

  • Monitor Qwoted, editorial calendars, and industry news daily to identify and act on timely media opportunities before competitors do

  • Along with your team, pursue and secure a consistent pipeline of media interviews, podcast appearances, speaking engagements, award nominations, and contributed content placements that raise client visibility

  • Staff media interviews and conduct necessary follow-ups and share prep materials

  • Cultivate and deepen relationships with reporters and editors over time, becoming a trusted resource that increases the agency’s pitch success rate

  • Regularly read industry news and stay ahead of journalist beat changes, outlet shifts, and industry trends to proactively uncover placement opportunities and inform client strategy

Content Development & Communications

  • Draft polished press releases, award submissions, briefing documents, and op-ed articles that accurately reflect client voice and consistently meet editorial standards

  • Provide thoughtful edits on client content and commentary, assessing for more than just grammar

  • Contribute to messaging frameworks and thought leadership platforms that position clients as credible, go-to voices in their sectors

  • Deliver clear, client-ready coverage recaps, opportunity summaries, and strategic updates that keep clients informed and confident in campaign progress

  • Support interview preparation and media training logistics so clients feel prepared and perform well in high-stakes media interactions

Client Account Support

  • Show up to client calls and internal strategy meetings as an engaged, prepared contributor with updates, ideas, and proactive recommendations; play an active role on client calls.

  • Draft client-ready action items following client meetings

  • Keep accounts running smoothly by managing timelines and deliverables in a way that prevents surprises and consistently meets client expectations

  • Oversee and maintain airtight organization across client materials, trackers, and communications so nothing falls through the cracks across a multi-client portfolio

  • Oversee interns and ensure on-time delivery of prep materials and other client deliverables

  • Anticipate shifts in client priorities and adapt quickly, ensuring account momentum is maintained even as needs evolve

Social Media & Digital Support

  • Draft and review social media content that amplifies media wins and reinforces client thought leadership, maintaining a consistent brand voice across platforms

  • Monitor social engagement and surface insights that inform future content strategy and help clients grow their digital presence

  • Reporting & Analytics

  • Develop monthly, quarterly, and sometimes announcement-specific reports that clearly communicate results, demonstrate value, and inform any strategic next steps

  • Track media coverage and campaign metrics in a way that surfaces trends and highlights wins

  • Produce polished, client-facing presentations that tell a compelling story about coverage performance, media momentum, and ongoing growth

Team Collaboration

  • Work closely with leadership and teammates across accounts to share intel, align on strategy, and ensure a high standard of work across the agency

  • Bring prepared, thoughtful ideas to brainstorming sessions that move client strategy forward

  • Contribute to a team culture where accountability, communication, and flexibility make remote collaboration genuinely effective

  • Model professionalism and follow-through in every client and internal interaction, reinforcing the agency’s reputation for excellence

  • Manage up effectively by communicating priorities, flagging roadblocks early, and keeping senior leadership informed so decisions get made at the right level without unnecessary delays

  • Use our proprietary AI tool strategically to help alleviate workload and delegate administrative tasks as needed, while adhering to the company’s internal usage guidelines and restrictions

  • With assistance from your manager, supervise, onboard, and train intern(s), providing clear direction, regular feedback, and hands-on guidance that accelerates their development and ensures their work meets agency standards

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in public relations, communications, journalism, marketing, English, or related field preferred

  • 2–4 years of experience in public relations, communications, marketing, journalism, or a related field; agency experience preferred

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail

  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities simultaneously

  • Experience with PR tools such as Muck Rack, Qwoted, Cision, Otter, or similar platforms is a plus

  • Familiarity or interest in financial services, fintech, wealth management, or business media is preferred

  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment

Assistant Account Executive

We are seeking an Assistant Account Executive to join our growing team. This fully remote position is ideal for a self-starter who is eager to learn the fundamentals of PR in a supportive, low-pressure environment. The ideal candidate is extremely organized, a strong multitasker, and communicates clearly in both written and verbal form.

This is a fully remote position with significant opportunities for growth into senior leadership within the agency.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Assistant Account Executive (AAE) provides essential support across media relations, content, social media, and client account activities. Working closely with senior team members, the AAE will develop core PR skills while contributing to real, day-to-day client work from day one. This role is a strong foundation for anyone looking to build a career in public relations or communications.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Media Relations

  • Research and identify target reporters, relevant articles, and media contacts that align with client goals

  • Monitor Qwoted, HARO, and other opportunity platforms daily to surface timely pitch angles for clients

  • Build and maintain targeted media lists that reflect current reporter beats, outlets, and contact information

  • Draft compelling pitches and follow-up notes; send outreach and track all communications

  • Identify and pursue speaking engagements, award nominations, broadcast features, and podcast opportunities

  • Provide solid first drafts of award, speaking submissions, and media summaries for internal and reviewProvide outlines and first drafts of press releases with attention to client voice and editorial standards

  • Track reporter beat changes, title updates, and outlet moves; send congratulatory outreach pitches to build relationships

  • Media Relations & Administrative Support

  • Create briefing documents to prepare clients for upcoming media interviews

  • Begin facilitating media interviews by providing real-time feedback, context, and follow-up notes

  • Draft and send follow-up correspondence to reporters and clients after interviews and outreach

  • Edit and submit written responses to media inquiries on behalf of clients

Media Tracking & Reporting

  • Conduct weekly news sweeps to identify timely articles and reporters relevant to client topics

  • Draft and send direct-response pitches that tie client expertise to breaking or trending stories

  • Track outreach and send follow-up emails to maximize response rates

  • Follow up on outstanding media opportunities to confirm publishing timelines and status

  • Use our proprietary AI tool strategically to help alleviate workload and delegate administrative tasks as needed, while adhering to the company’s internal usage guidelines and restrictions

  • Draft media coverage notes that summarize placements and their relevance for client reporting

  • Contribute to the development of PowerPoint reports that highlight media wins, coverage volume, passed opportunities, and other metrics meaningful to the client

Social Media & Digital Support

  • Draft and edit social media posts and design supporting graphics in Canva as needed or per client request

  • Schedule and publish posts; tag content live on LinkedIn

  • Monitor and engage with social media activity; follow target accounts and pages to stay current

  • Create social media content and track performance metrics and analytics

General Account & Team Support

  • Work collaboratively with Account Executives and senior team members, taking clear direction and communicating proactively on task status, questions, and bandwidth

  • Attend select client calls; assist with agendas and help ensure follow-through on deliverables and action items

  • Provide ongoing day-to-day support across accounts, adjusting priorities fluidly as client needs shift

  • Bring a flexible, open-minded approach to scheduling and daily workflow, given the dynamic nature of PR and client demands

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in public relations, communications, journalism, marketing, English, or a related field preferred

0–2 years of experience in PR, communications, marketing, or a related field; internship experience counts

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

Ability to manage multiple tasks and shifting priorities simultaneously

Familiarity with tools such as Canva, MuckRack, Qwoted, or similar platforms is a plus

Interest in financial services, fintech, or wealth management is preferred but not required

Self-starter who can work independently and collaboratively in a fully remote setting
